Italian researchers found that intake of high carbohydrate foods may increase women's risk for heart disease.
The researchers found that women in the highest carbohydrate intake risk of heart disease is women's intake of more than 2 times the minimum intake of carbohydrate-rich foods will cause blood sugar and triglyceride levels, high density lipoprotein levels decreased, thereby increasing the risk of heart disease.

But the researchers said, carbohydrate intake, glycemic index foods and glycemic load on the risk of heart disease for women only, not for men.
